Congratulations to all our teams and colleagues that participated in the first season of the League of Gypsies. We've had highs and lows we have reached goals and interacted with our great community in Guangzhou. Last Sunday night we held an 11 per side showcase game and presented our top three teams and our most impressive team this season with medallions. They combined their players into two full squads and put on a show of unity, harmony and great football. Our Chairman Mr. Adel El Sayed presented the Gypsy Cup, crafted by Xu HongFei and designed by our own Trevor Savage to The Jackals our league’s winners. The cup was crafted with friendship, fair-play and sportsmanship as its motto; its symbolism the ball being a globe and the Guangzhou flower being life, growth and peace. We are working towards the next season in which will consist of a minimum of 18 teams and run for a full year. We are also looking to attend the Merlion Cup in Singapore; and hold some tournaments of our own with our all star team the Guangzhou Gypsies.
